Why Weight? In the last several months, I managed to put on around 30 lbs. Topping the list of 50 in 50 is maintaining a weight of 200 lbs or less. So we can make an additional 50 in 50 losing around 35 pounds.
I've never really tried to lose weight in my life, except for the time I bulked up to compete on Battledome. I managed to do the bulking up but unfortunately their schedule didn't work with mine, so my 15 minutes of fame didn't end up happening. Those pounds came of pretty quickly, but I was much younger then and was working out a lot and training jiujitsu regularly. My schedule and metabolism isn't what it was back then, so this will be a bit of a challenge. Losing those pounds will also help out with dunking, as well as qualifying for the Boston Marathon. I've got a stationary bike in my office, literally within arms reach of my desk, so I don't really have an excuse not to put in some time on the bike. But diet will be the key. My birthday party extravaganza didn't help, but I just donated my birthday cake to the art department and the bags of chips will be going to my crew's snack room. With this brief post I will have blogged Day 1 out of 345. It's a start.
