I'm starting to write my autobiography, so what better place to start than where I was born. I'm also trying to make or buck or two in the process. But Wait There's More I'm also embarking on an adventure similar to Anthony Bourdain, but instead of food, I'll be exploring different forms of wrestling and grappling and submitting my old aching bones to that experience. And.... I will be looking into/organizing group tours. I'm looking at Mongolia, specifically the Nadaam festival which is focused on "three manly games" horse back riding, wrestling and archery" I have skills in two and a deep family history in the third. Oh and I'm obsessed with Genghis Khan Road Trippin' Also might be revisiting things like the Silk Road, Marco Polo journeys, any excuse to visit Africa and the two Poles, and I'm not talking about the comedy duo that hails from Poland What Defines You?
I was lost overnight in Yosemite when I was six years old. I was at high elevation and it went below freezing, many years later, I have realized it had transitioned from a search and rescue to a cadaver search; but even back then I was a handful and a half and I scurried under a rock and bundled up with a bunch of pine needles and said fuck you to the fates that would have liked to see my early demise. Since then I've had major trust issues and a huge belief in self-reliance, whatever that means...

AuthorJon Danniells is an adventurer and traveler, a teacher and student, a husband and a father, a cook and a farmer, a "week-end warrior" (very amateur athlete) and has not earned any money on these labors of love. When I googled myself what showed up first was my IMDB listing, which is basically a resume for my 20 and then some year career in film, for which I fortunately do get paid.
