Go West, Not-So-Young Man, Go West

Atlanta was always going to be a temporary residence. But then one job here after another was presented and I ended up joining 479, the IATSE (International Alliance of Theatrical and Stage Employees) local here so that I could work. I ended up making friends in the circus and "burner" communities here. I got into the farmer's market scene, joined the local gym and trained Brazilian jiujitsu. Became a regular at a couple wonderful bars.
In short, Atlanta became our new home.

But I always missed the ocean and my friends from Los Angeles.

A 25 Year Anniversary-- An Excuse for a Trip To La La Land
Cindy and I have been involved with the Set Decorator's Society of America(SDSA) from it's beginning. Cindy was there at the beginning when for a very brief time it was the Set Decorator's Guild which made the Union uncomfortable, hence the name we've all grown to know and love.
​I served on the "Executive Board" for 4 years. I met a lot of people, vendors, decorators, shoppers, leads, etc through this organization.  Even Skye got involved, often greeting members at the door. It was and continues to be a family affair.
